Round 4 (day 1): Nathan T

November 21, 2011 No Comments

The morning dawned perfectly for cricket. Sunny with a touch of dew and after winning the toss Elwood
12Ds donned the pads for what was to be their highest score for the season to date of 8 for 119. A
few mix up run outs however a more proficient batting display against much more matched opposition
resulted in and enjoyable day out for all.

Highlights included Lachie Cains top score of 19 including 3 boundaries with two coming from the last
over of the morning, a lovely tickled boundary from Lachie Tate, a solid and attractive 7 runs from Jan
Wilmar and red ink for a number of batsmen including Lachie Tate (7 not out), Darcy Sullivan (2 not out),
Liam Dillon (2 not out), Sebastian Ganci (0 not out).

With wet weather forecast for this Saturday’s game lets hope we get game in and with a concentrated
bowling and fielding effort we’re a big chance for our first win of the season.
