De Haan wins the CMCA Player of the Year

Last night, at the CMCA Knights awards held at the Mentone RSL, Rob De Haan added to his rapidly growing trophy collection by taking out the prestigious CMCA Longmuir Player of the Year for the 2012/13 season.

It’s an award Elwood has had a firm grasp on over recent years with Marshall Bunting winning the award the previous two seasons.

Rob polled an impressive 16 votes from his 11 games, beating Bentleigh Uniting captain Glenn Lalor who finished with 12 votes.

The clincher came with his 3 votes game against Carnegie South in Round 10 which he took six wickets.

The other Elwood players to poll last night were Steve Jones (4), Sam Tee (4), Marshall Bunting (3) and Luke Baillie (1).

Rob also made the CMCA team of the year, going one better than last year when he made teh team as 12th man. Here is the full CMCA Team of the Year:
