Having played cricket since he was nine and represented Denmark at Under-19 level, Chawla made his full debut for Denmark in a match against the Durham Cricket Board in the English domestic one-day tournament, the 2000 NatWest Trophy. In that same year he played in the European Championships in Scotland. The following year, he played for Denmark in the 2001 ICC Trophy in Canada, making six appearances.

Bobby is also a level 3 qualified coach and has been coaching is local club for the past two years (currently on top of the ladder and playing in the final next weekend), he is also currently a coach’s assistant with the national team, his long term goal is to become a professional coach. Bobby comes highly recommended from the Western Australian Cricket Association, where he has worked with several of their coaches over the past few years.

Outside of cricket he works as a banker.

Bobby is extremely keen to be joining the Elwood Cricket Club and will be arriving in Australia the week starting September 24 (he has a national commitments prior to coming to Australia in September). Prior to Bobby arriving he has already sent a pre-season training program, which will be introduced at the first indoor training session next Monday the July 9 2012.

This is a huge opportunity and I believe Bobby will be a huge asset to the Elwood Cricket Club.
