Registration day

Registration day will be 3pm Sunday 16 September at Wattie Watson pavilion.

Who are the coaches?
U12 coaches are Steve Murphy, Luke Baillie (a senior player), Woody Trevilian (Bud’s brother) Mark Smith (Dylan’s dad), Andy Dillon (Liam’s dad) and Nathan Turner.
U14 coaches are Leon Harris, Nath Harris will be helping out.
We still require a rookies coach and an U16s coach. Also we are looking for assistants and team managers for a number of teams. Even though teams are not finalised, please let someone know if you are ready and willing!

When will training be?
U14s will train on Thursdays from 430 until around 545
U12 training will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 430 until 545. Nath T/Andy’s team is likely to train on Wednesdays. Unfortunately we can’t be more precise at the moment as we are waiting for a coaches spot to be filled. Please note in most cases coaches will not arrive before 430, so kids arriving early will be unsupervised.
U16 training will depend on the availability of the coach.

When does training start?
U16 are encouraged to train with Leon and the seniors (Tuesday and Thursday from 600) until a coach is found.
U14 training has already started.
U12 training will start in the week of 17 September (Training times for week of 17 Sept only: TUESDAY 430: Nathan Turner’s team from last year, last year’s rookies and new rookies. WEDNESDAY 430: all other U12s)

Training during September holidays

It will change from coach to coach, but it is most likely training will be on (but voluntary for those out of town!). Details to follow

Helping out
As a club of volunteers, all parents are expected to chip-in a little over the season. This may involve learning to score, setting-up on match day, or helping out at training. We also still require coaches and team managers for a number of teams.

How do you select teams?
Making sure all Elwood kids will have a fun year is our number one priority when making team selections. Playing with mates is a big factor in this, as is playing at an appropriate standard. We will contact you with team lists in the coming week or so. We hope you acknowledge we have your kids interests at heart, but feel free to discuss concerns with Jackson or your coach.
In terms of full teams, priority will be given to returning players.
