Three grand finals (yes, that’s right) for Elwood this weekend

March 12, 2013 No Comments

What a weekend ahead for the Elwood Cricket Club as it will compete in three CMCA senior Grand Finals — the second most of any CMCA club (Bentleigh Uniting is in four).

A fantastic season for all involved as the Twos, Threes and Fours will all compete in a chance to bring a premiership flag to Wattie Watson Oval for the first time in over a decade.

The club implores all current and former players, our supporters and all their families to support the boys this weekend. Needless to say that if even one side is successful (and we are not counting our chickens in any way, shape or form) then there will be one hell of a beach party on Sunday night. Hence it is imperative that we get as much support for the three teams as possible to give us every chance of grabbing a flag or two (or three).

The Threes are lucky enough to be playing their Grand Final at home. the Twos and Fours are away at neutral grounds.

The teams will be announced later in the week but for now here are the details of this weekend’s upcoming games:

2nd XI (Quiney Shield)

Vs. Bentleigh Uniting 3 at Hurlingham Park Oval No.1 [Melway 67 J10]

3rd XI (E Grade)

vs. Melbourne Hellenic 1 at Elwood

4th XI (F Grade)

vs. West Bentleigh 3 at Le Page Park Oval No.1 [Melway 78 B12] News, Newsletter
