De Haan makes CMCA Team of the Year

First XI leg spinner Rob De Haan added another trophy to the cabinet last night by being named in the CMCA team of the year last night.

It was the third time in as many years that Rob has made the side and comes on the back of his Ray Howard Medal win two weeks ago.

The team was announced at the Knights Sports CMCA player of the year dinner at the Mentone RSL where De Haan, who won the award last year, polled fourth with 11 votes, four behind the winner, Bentleigh ANA opening bowler Brad Dolman.

Elwood captain/coach Bobby Chawla finished sixth in the count with 9 votes.

The Knights Sports Player of the Year and CMCA team of the Year is only for Longmuir Shield players.
